From the Terraces: U’s tamed by Shrews, big City update, Histon win thriller

Scotty McGeorge, Tim Armitage and Gary Atyes review the weekend’s football action which includes analysis of Cambridge United’s 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town. We also hear from a frustrated Neil Harris who gave a brutally honest post-match interview. We’ve been told that Cambridge City are finally on the verge of appointing a new manager and interim boss Neil Midgley gives his thoughts on the Lilywhites 2-0 defeat to Felixstowe and Walton and what to expect from leaders Maldon and Tiptree on Tuesday. Matt Payne also explains why he felt Histon still fell short in some areas despite their 5-3 win over Easington Sports and Tim reports on the Cambridge United vs QPR women’s match at the Abbey Stadium. Plus reaction to the Cambridgeshire Invitational Cup draw including the thoughts of Lance Key whose current team Soham Town Rangers will host his former side Histon in the last eight.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
