Flavour: Grow your own & Eat Cambridge dinner

Empty Common in Brooklands Avenue provides a very picturesque spot for growing your own. We talk with some growers. Rosie Sykes and Rachel Roddy are doing the opening dinner for this year’s Eat Cambridge, Rosie tells us what’s on the menu. Other Eat Cambridge participants include Flock Cafe at Burwash and Que Rico Tapas, and we find out what they’ll be doing. In addition, we visit the new tapas restaurant Tu Casa on Mill Road and discover why it’s proving so popular, and we go along to the tea rooms in Grantchester. Presented by Matt Bentman and Dr Sue Bailey.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are listening to Cambridge 105 Radio than ever but in a competitive media landscape it’s sometimes difficult to make a noise. And advertising revenues are falling across the sector.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves, who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, whose businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

Please help to support community radio and make our future more secure. You can support Cambridge 105 Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution through Local Giving.

Thank you.
