Book signing to follow. Lottie Mills’ stories capture the experience of characters excluded by a society that cannot accept their differences. On Tuesday, 18 June at 6pm, in celebration of Pride, Waterstones Cambridge is honoured to host biographer and editor Peter Parker who will discuss the first part of a major new anthology. In Some Men In London, he explores what it was actually like for queer men in London in this period, whether they were well-known figures such as John Gielgud, ‘Chips’ Channon and E.M. Forster, or living lives of quiet – or occasionally rowdy – anonymity in pubs, clubs, more public places of assignation, or at home.

Get ready for murder and mayhem! On Wednesday, 26 June from 6pm, we’re hosting a Murder in Midsummer crime panel, featuring breathtaking crime writers Tony Kent, Fiona Neill, Irman Mahmood, Abir Mukherjee and Harriet Tyce. With so many fantastic authors, it’s like a mini crime festival in the heart of Cambridge.
