Downfield Windmill – Open Day

£2.00Raising awareness and funds for the mill.
This event is being supported by Littleport & Ely Timebank. After several years of an English Heritage funded restoration, the mill now has a new set of stocks and sails and the exterior restoration work is largely complete. The interior is still undergoing further work but the mill now turns to wind and has fully working sails.
At the event you can learn about the history, take a tour at your own risk, learn about the history and become a member of the windmill and volunteer as a working party at the mill.
There will also be a children’s face painter, windmill making, making Corn Dollies, craft stalls, and refreshments.
The entrance fee is £2.00 each. Under 3 are free.
