£12.00 – £24.00Join multi-award winning jazz vocalist and BBC Radio presenter Claire Martin OBE, acclaimed pianist Rob Barron and much-in-demand bassist Jeremy Brown, for a celebration of some of the greatest jazz vocalists of the 20th century.
Linn recording artist Claire Martin has, to worldwide critical acclaim, established herself as a tour de force on the UK jazz scene. Her many accolades include winning the British Jazz Awards eight times during a career spanning almost four decades. In 2018 she was the proud recipient of the BASCA Gold Badge Award for her contribution to jazz.
Through a diverse repertoire arranged and curated by Claire, this concert celebrates the music of the twentieth century’s quintessential jazz vocalists, whose legacy and influence continues to define a classic era of music. Expect stylish re-workings of Great American Songbook classics from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae and more.
