Cambridge Literary Festival – Winter Festival 2025
Saturday November 22–Sunday November 23
The Cambridge Literary Festival’s Winter Festival returns on 22–23 November 2025, packing central Cambridge venues with headline names and weighty conversations.
Across two days, audiences can hear from writers and public figures including Zadie Smith, Nicola Sturgeon, John Cleese, Ian McEwan, Lyse Doucet, Mick Herron, Katie Piper, Irvine Welsh, Wendy Cope and more, in events spanning new fiction, politics, justice, history, climate, culture and comedy.
Sessions are split between the Cambridge Union, the Old Divinity School and other city centre spaces, with a mix of solo talks, panel discussions and special centenary spotlights such as “Mrs Dalloway 100”.
Running in partnership with the New Statesman, the Winter Festival continues CLF’s push to be a serious ideas weekend as well as a showcase for big-name authors, backed by livestream options on selected events and priority booking for Friends.
What’s Ons are broadcast across the day at 7.50, 10.30, 1.30 and 4.30, and at weekends.
