Arbury Carnival
Saturday June 10, 2023–11:00–17:00
The Arbury Carnival is an annual celebration held on Arbury Town Park, Campkin Road, adjacent to the Arbury Community Centre, in the North of Cambridge, on the second of Saturday each June.
The Carnival Theme for 2023 is Witches, Wizards and Mythical Creatures.
It was first held as a small local event in 1977 to celebrate the Queens Silver Jubilee and has carried on getting bigger and better with each passing year and now hosts between 3,000 & 5,000 visitors.
It is organised each year by the Arbury Carnival Committee, who are a group of volunteers.
It includes a procession, Arena entertainment, local community group and trader stalls and variety of food stalls. Some years we have evening entertainment” Arbury Pop in the Park” featuring local groups.
The Carnival is supported by Kettles Yard, Cambridge, who work with local community groups and schools on art Art projects, to include making their costumes, props for the carnival.
Local singing and dance groups are most welcome to take part in the Procession and in the Arena Entertainment.
What’s Ons are broadcast across the day at 7.50, 10.30, 1.30 and 4.30, and at weekends.
