Daniel Baker has been named as the new presenter of Cambridge 105 Radio’s Sunday Breakfast.
25 year-old Daniel is already familiar to Sunday Breakfast listeners, having presented the sports bulletin on the programme for the past year. Daniel has spent time with Cambridge 105 Radio since the station’s launch in 2011, in between studying at the University of Lincoln and City of Liverpool College, and a period as a trainee reporter for the Workington Times & Star.
On his first show this Sunday (January 7), Daniel is joined by Olympic gold-medallist Helen Richardson-Walsh, who talks about the past 18 months which has seen her go from Rio to the Perse School. Local blogger Ibrahim Rahman reviews the day’s papers and there’s a full round-up of the weekend’s sport.
Previous presenter Tobias Bown will continue to be heard on Cambridge 105 Radio across the schedule.
Tim Willett, Station Manager, Cambridge 105 Radio said: “Daniel’s knowledge of the area and experience with the station made him the natural choice to take over Sunday Breakfast. I’d also like to thank Tobias for his contribution over the last 12 months and am pleased he’ll be staying with the Cambridge 105 Radio family.”
Daniel Baker said: “I’m really looking forward to taking on Sunday Breakfast, bringing listeners in the city and South Cambridgeshire a mix of music and conversation, as they get ready for the day.”
