Cambridge 105 is preparing to mark the birth of the new royal baby with a day of songs featuring the word ‘baby’ in the title.
Royal watchers have been eagerly awaiting the birth of the first child for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since the weekend.
The community radio station has asked listeners to suggest their favourite songs through its Facebook page or by email to baby@cambridge105.co.uk.
Presenter Matt Webb has been sifting through the selections, which will be broadcast once the official announcement of the birth has been made.
In line with Cambridge 105’s regular music choices, listeners can expect a wide variety of songs, from Amy Grant’s Baby Baby, through to 3 of a Kind’s Baby Cakes and The Beatles’ Baby It’s You.
Matt Webb said: “It’s been a massive task. Off the top of my head I could think of around 20 songs, but as always the listeners have come up with some fantastic selections.”
