A day of fundraising activities by Cambridge 105 has raised £2,045 for the Children in Need appeal.
The community radio station was out and about in Cambridge on Friday with a series of live performances broadcast from Sidney Street (outside Boots), Fitzroy Street (outside Little Waitrose) and Sainsbury’s, Coldhams Lane.
In particular Cambridge 105 would like to thank the staff and customers of Sainsbury’s for making the station feel so welcome.
Flossie, the Cambridge 105 outside broadcast unit, was parked outside the store, where customers heard performances from Music and Spies and Tom Roddis.
The money raised means that in the last three years Cambridge 105 has raised over £6,000 with money being also donated to causes including Red Nose Day and Macmillan Cancer Support.
