Cambridge 105 Radio presenter Glenn Jones has won silver in the Entertainment Show of the Year category at the Community Radio Awards 2023.
There was also a Bronze for Cambridge 105 Radio’s coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The awards were revealed at an event in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on Saturday November 4.
Glenn has been a regular presenter on Cambridge 105 Radio for 10 years. Most recently the Friday presenter of Home, they have recently moved to a new Sunday morning show.
Glenn’s quirky sense of humour combines with an appreciation of what’s happening in the community.
The Bronze Award came in a Special Category: HM Queen Elizabeth II – Her life, Her Reign, and her passing.
Cambridge 105 Radio won for its coverage of the announcement of her late majesty’s death, which included the announcement itself and special programming in the days that followed.
Commenting on his Sliver award for Entertainment Show of the Glenn Jones said: ‘Well, that was a surprise! We may have failed to win the world puddle jumping championships last year, but I suppose this is a good consolation prize”.
