CAMBRIDGE – September 11, 2012. Community radio station, Cambridge 105, has had its licence renewed for a further five years by the broadcasting regulator, Ofcom.
The Cambridge licence was originally issued in 2007. When the previous licence holder ran into financial difficulties, Cambridge 105 successfully applied to Ofcom for the transfer of the licence.
Cambridge 105 commenced broadcasting in July 2010, recently celebrating its second birthday.
Station manager Tim Willett said: “This is terrific news. It’s extremely encouraging that Ofcom has seen fit to renew our licence for another term. We look forward to continuing to build and develop our strengths over the next five years”.
