Cambridge 105 gives Mill Road its own show

Mill Road BridgeCambridge 105 is to give the Mill Road a dedicated radio programme. Broadcast once a month on Sunday evenings, Our Mill Road will feature local interviews, information, events and a Mill Road arts roundup.

The first show can be heard on Sunday January 13th at 9.00pm.

Ceri Ann Littlechild, who also works as the City Council’s Mill Road coordinator, will present the programme.

“As part of working as the Mill Road Coordinator, I get lots of local information and I thought that using the local community radio station – based just off Mill Road – was a perfect way to share some of that. We have such a vibrant community, there’s plenty to talk about.”

The music played on the show will aim to reflect the diversity of the area, plus there’ll be special offers at some of the local businesses, reviews and events.

With five local visual arts venues, over 200 businesses, an interesting history and a very strong sense of community, the Mill Road has many stories to tell.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
