Bums on Seats 19/07/2014

Today’s show begins with much promise and wraps up with the near end of human existence. Boyhood is Richard Linklater’s ground breaking drama of a simple life in a Texan suburb. The director of the much loved Once returns with Begin Again. How To Train Your Dragon 2 finds the Viking village of Berg now happily living side by side with dragons, but with both threatened by a formidable danger just over the curve of the Earth. And humanity is on the edge of extinction in Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Toby Miller is host for the hour, joined this week by regular reviewers Jenny Colley, Simon West and Phil Yates.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
