Bums on Seats: Deadpool 2, Jeune Femme & Zama

Today’s show pulls another superhero from the hat, as we discuss the meta heroics of Deadpool 2. But we’ve also counter programming with two very different works from female filmmakers: Léonor Serraille’s Paris set drama Jeune Femme and the South American adventure of Lucrecia Martel’s Zama. There’s also some horror, with Martin Freeman as the family man trapped in the zombie future of Cargo. Plus we catch up with the outreach plans of community cinema Saffron Screen.

Alistair Ryder takes the hosting reins, joined by reviewers Yozzie Osman, Rosie Applin and David Riley.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
