The show today looks at three new film releases: Diary of a Teenage Girl, Mistress America and Trainwreck – each of which focuses on an unusually strong (for a film) female lead. Plus we talk to director Sophie Hyde and star Tilda Cobham-Hervey about new Australian drama 52 Tuesdays. We also continue of previews of the 35th Cambridge Film Festival by looking at the role The Light cinema on Clifton Way is playing in the cinematic festivities.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
