Cambridge Talking News celebrates 50 Years

A weekly audio newspaper for blind and partially-sighted people living locally is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Recordings are copied onto memory sticks and sent out, post free, to about 120 listeners or the listeners can download from its website. Martin Gienke has been with Cambridge Talking News since its launch. Martin’s conversation with Julian Clover includes an excerpt from an interview from 1977 with the Duke of Edinburgh.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
