Cambridge music shop to tackle piano poverty

A new programme is running in Cambridgeshire to tackle unequal access to music education and sustainability in the music industry.

Piano Equals wants to repair and reuse the thousands of older pianos that sit idle in homes by matching them with a local school or community organisation that can benefit from them.

It’s being supported by Miller’s Music. Managing director Simon Pollard spoke to Julian Clover

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
