Councillor secures site of Jenny Wren pub

A Kings Hedges Councillor has taken action after receiving complaints about the site of the former Jenny Wren pub.

It closed in 2017 and was demolished in 2019 under a consent that envisaged rebuilding the site with housing and a new ground-floor unit.

Martin Smart repaired the gates to the building site after residents became concerned that children were entering the area.

Cllr Smart gave a background to his actions to Cambridge Breakfast with Julian Clover.
