Cambridge City Council’s unveiled plans for an £80 million redevelopment in the north of the city — including more than 200 new council homes and two hundred private homes.
The project would see Arbury Court and the Kingsway estate completely regenerated, with new housing, a park, a library space and improved public areas.
Around 150 existing council flats in poor condition would be demolished, with tenants offered help and compensation to move.
City Council Leader Cameron Holloway told Cambridge Breakfast on Cambridge Radio support will be given to displaced residents.
