Leigh Chambers and Alex Ruczaj are joined by Saumya Balsari whose book The Cambridge Curry Club was voted Cambridgeshire Book of the Decade. She talks to us about how Mill Road inspired her and why she chose to write a novel for young adults as a follow-up. There are also interviews with Eithne Farry (former indie pop star and now Daily Mail book critic and a 2013 Costa Book Award Judge) and Emma Donoghue (whose latest book Frog Music is about a real unsolved crime in 19th century San Francisco).

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
