Planning is key. Both Cambridge City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council are asking you to plan your day in advance. It’s expected that around 100,000 people will pack into the city’s streets on the day.
If you run a local business, you’re being advised to have contingency plans in place if staff are unable to attend work. If you regularly commute into or out of Cambridge, it’s advisable to leave much earlier to reach your destination as both the main roads into and out of the city, as well as Cambridge Railway station and Bus services will be at maximum capacity.
If you’re looking to come into the city or surrounding areas to watch the race, it’s recommended you reach your intended viewing area early to get the best vantage point and view of the race.
