Le Tour de France: May Round Up

It’s less than 40 days until the world’s biggest cycling event, Le Tour de France comes to Cambridge on the 7th July.

Leading up to the stage 3 race, Matt Webb has been conducting a range of cycling and tour related interviews on his afternoon shows.

In this month’s podcast round up of interviews we hear from Simon Fairhall, Chief Executive of Living Sport in Cambridgeshire about the city’s cycling legacy from the race, Joanne Gray Lead Officer in Participation at Cambridgeshire County Council about the Velo Festival, Anthony Dean from Cambridge Bike Tours, Ruth Brannan from the all ability cycle project ‘You Can Bike Too’ and Rosie Juhl from Buffy Playbus about the Tour de Buffy.

Some interviews to listen out for on air in June include Bob King from Outspoken Cycle Training, Cambridge’s MP Julian Huppert and Noel Kavanagh, Cambridgeshire County Council’s Cycling Champion.

Details of Cambridge 105′s live coverage of Le Tour de France on the 7th July are available here.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
