It’s less than 70 days until the world’s biggest cycling event, Le Tour de France comes to Cambridge on the 7th July.
Leading up to the stage 3 race, Matt Webb has been conducting a range of cycling and tour related interviews on his afternoon shows.
In this month’s podcast round up of interviews we hear from Christian Prudhomme, Director of Le Tour de France, Tim Bick from Cambridge City Council about their planning for the event and Martin Curtis from Cambridgeshire County Council about the disruption to roads on the day and event legacy. All three attended the official unveiling of the start line on Parker’s Piece in early April.
In the studio we hear from Matt Parkhouse concerning the Cambridge Cycle Swarm event, Hugh Salt from Cambridge Dutch Bikes about a Tour De France fringe event he’s staging, Simon Nuttall and John Hall from the Cambridge Cycling Campaign and Sam Robinson from the Love to Ride Cambridgeshire website.
Some interviews to listen out for in May include Anthony Dean of Cambridge Bike Tours and Ruth Brannan from the all ability cycle project ‘You Can Bike Too’.
