Queen Edith and Queen Emma’s Learning Saturday

Over the weekend, Cambridge 105 Radio went along to the ‘Learning Saturday’ at Queen Edith Primary School, where pupils from both Queen Edith and Queen Emma Primary Schools were holding a day of extra-curricular activities on the theme of the spoken word.

As you’ll hear, there were a range of things to do that the schools had arranged, and we were there to give the children an experience of reading real news and weather scripts as though they were on-air.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
