Guitarist and composer David Preston returns to the Granary with renowned jazz and rock drummer Jeremy Stacey and bassist Conor Chaplin, best known as part of the Mercy Prize nominated group Dinosaur.
A finalist in the 2009 Montreux International Guitar competition, David is composer and co-leader of the critically acclaimed UK modern-jazz trio ‘Preston Glasgow Lowe’ and has released two albums of all-original music on the UK/US label Whirlwind Recordings, described as ‘unpretentious, lyrical music that should appeal beyond the jazz audience’ by London Jazz News. He has been active as a sideman to a breadth of UK musicians including Lianne La Havas, Nathaniel Facey, Asaf Sirkis, Peter Ind, Emma Rawicz, Jamie Murray and the internationally celebrated piano-and-drum virtuoso Gary Husband. He has performed, toured and recorded with Grammy-Winning US jazz vocalists Melody Gardot, Curtis Stigers and Jesse Harris.
