Charlotte Bray Portrait Concert

This concert is a rare opportunity to hear a concert of chamber music devoted mainly to that of Berlin based composer Charlotte Bray.
On the programme are her environmentally inspired quartet ‘Zustande’ , and the Shakespearean inspired trio ‘Those Sacred Eyes’, with advanced CSYM student pianists playing side-by-side with professional chamber musicians Henrietta Hill (viola), Rose Hinton (violin), and Andrew Power (cello).
Also on the programme are some of Charlotte’s superb and evocative works for solo instrument, namely ‘In Black Light’ for solo viola, ‘On the Other Shore’ for solo cello, and, ‘Beyond’ for solo violin.
At the other end of the programme there will be one or two performances of chamber works featuring some accomplished young 7 year old pianists, as they join forces with Andrew and Rose to play music by Howard Skempton and Colin Matthews.
Concert begins at 6.30 pm.
