Cambridge Association for Local History – Annual Conference

Saturday April 6

£10.00 – £15.00

The Cambridgeshire Association for Local History has been preserving Cambridgeshire’s past for the present and future for the last seventy years. For this year’s annual conference they have moved out of Cambridge and have joined with Histon and Impington Village Society, who have organised the conference..

The programme is focussed on a series of short talks on the history, archaeology, buildings, people and landscape of Histon and Impington, and everyone attending will become familiar with the local history of the area, and become familiar with Eliza Woodcock who perished in the snow on her way back from marketing in Cambridge, Histon Station, and of course Chivers the world famous jam making firm.

The conference will take place from 9.30 to 4.00 in Histon Baptist Church, a magnificent building worth visiting in its own right.

Tickets £10 for members of CALH and the Histon and Impington Village Society, £15 non-members

Booking by cheque to CALH Treasurer, 15 Orchard Way, Oakington, CB24 3BQ
