Lisa MacIsaac & Brenley MacEachern are a Canadian Juno-nominated musical duo who grew up on rural Cape Breton Island and came together in the late 1990s. Influenced by their maritime heritage, the East Coast duo began creating music that is rooted in their past, overlaid with contemporary influences.
Exceptional singer-songwriters, storytellers and skilled multi-instrumentalists, MacIsaac and MacEachern (as Madison Violet) have released more than 10 albums together and their music is imbued with folk, pop, indie, bluegrass and country.
Their latest record eleven is considered their most candid album to date, filled with deeply personal stories of love and loss. They have received dozens of notable accolades for their work, including a JUNO nomination for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year and a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Vocal Group Album of the Year; and they have featured on CBC’s Top 20 many times throughout their career.
