This week’s studio guest is Former Education Minister and Home Secretary, Charles Clarke. Charles talks about the books he’s edited and contributed to since leaving politics including The ‘Too Difficult’ Box; The Big Issues Politicians Can’t Crack and a series of books examining the strengths and weaknesses of leaders from the three main political parties. He’ll reveal what he thinks of the current Labour leadership as well as Tony Blair (who he worked under) and his successor, Gordon Brown, and chats about the joys of returning to Cambridge.
We also have interviews with writers launching an anthology of work – In Memory – to celebrate the life and work of the late Sir Terry Pratchett.
And Menna Van Praag meets scriptwriting mentor Pilar Alessandra who discusses what makes a good screenplay.
