SUMMARY:Midsummer Fair
DESCRIPTION:One of the most exciting events in the Cambridge calendar\, Midsummer Fair\, returns to the city with rides and great fun for all. As one of the longest-established fairs in the UK\, it is also a cherished part of the city’s history. \nThe Fair\, which is run by the Gypsy\, Roma and Traveller community on Midsummer Common\, is free to enter. In 1901\, the Cambridge News described the opening of the event as “the delight of children and the pleasure of not a few adults.” \nThroughout history\, there has been a variety of entertainment at the fair including fire-eating\, sword-swallowing\, moving pictures and wrestling. Today\, the entertainment is mainly fairground rides and stalls that all ages can enjoy. There is a fee for individual rides and stalls.

DESCRIPTION:Johnny Hates Jazz\, comprising Clark Datchler (songwriting\, vocals\, keyboards) and Mike Nocito (production\, engineering\, guitars)\, achieved prominence in the late 1980s with a string of hits\, notably “Shattered Dreams.” Released in March 1987\, the song reached top 5 in the UK\, mainland Europe\, Asia\, and secured the second position in Japan. \nAfter parting ways at their peak\, Johnny Hates Jazz reunited in 2010 and released the album “Magnetized” in 2013\, the title track becoming an instant radio hit in the UK.
