SUMMARY:Burwell Carnival
DESCRIPTION:Carnival 2025 will on 5th July at Burwell Recreation Ground. This year’s parade theme will be Sport. \nAll profits go towards Burwell Carnival costs meaning we can give more funds out to Burwell Community groups. Last year we gave out over £5\,000 to more than 20 local groups. \nThe parade starts at 12:15pm at the top of The Causeway\, turning left into Hythe Lane and straight onto The Recreation Ground up to our stage area. \nOn the recreation ground we will have our Carnival bar\, fantastic entertainment from bands and dance groups\, fairground rides\, inflatables\, craft stalls and food vendors along with so much more to enjoy on-the-day. We have live music and performers throughout the afternoon and evening until 11pm. \nThe Carnival bar will be selling real ale from Burwell Brewery & cider from Spinney Abbey\, lager and Pimms by the jug/glasses\, along with wine\, Prosecco\, spirits & soft drinks. The Burwell Belles – WI will provide hot drinks & refreshments and there is also a wide choice of food vendors on the field. \nPlus\, a fantastic range of craft and community stalls.

The Ditton Meadows location offers a superb venue and\, as well as the exciting races\, a range of bankside entertainment\, food stalls and fun activities guarantee a fabulous day out for all the family! Read more about entry levels below. \nDragon boat racing is the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun! Up to 10 people paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and our helm at the tail steering a straight course. No previous experience is required\, just plenty of team spirit! \nThe Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival is mainly aimed at corporate groups who are looking for a great team building day out whilst supporting and raising money for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust for Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital. Upon entering\, you can choose to upgrade your entry package to include a donation to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust for Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital or you can simply raise funds in your own way!

DESCRIPTION:Bring your friends\, colleagues\, children or come solo to enjoy the sounds of the city – this is a community event for all to enjoy! \nCambridge Station Square will be alive with music from 11am – 7pm\, and it’s FREE\, so there’s something to enjoy at all times of day. \nMake Music Day UK is an annual celebration of music-making with events in communities across the world on the 21st of June (to mark the summer solstice) and now takes place in more than 125 countries. \nCambridge 105 Radio will be broadcasting live to bring highlights of the festival to the airwaves. The stage is in Station Square near Gail’s\, visible as you exit the train station. foodPark will be serving up the food and drink – so grab a deckchair and enjoy the show. Expect great tunes\, music for all tastes\, and plenty of friendly faces. \nOur headline act is Cambridge’s very own Mr Griff.
