SUMMARY:Into The Woods
DESCRIPTION:There are wolves in the woods\, they say. Witches and giants too – it’s a dangerous place to go\, they say. But maybe there are princes there\, as well\, and magic beans and spells\, and mothers and fathers. Perhaps it is a place where the lonely can find each other\, even if they lose some of themselves on the way. \nInto the Woods is Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s whirlwind of fairytales\, where several journeys collide in the woods. The Baker and his Wife go to lift a curse\, Little Red Riding Hood goes to bring bread to her grandmother\, Jack goes to sell his beloved cow\, and Cinderella goes to attend a festival. As their stories weave together\, and their wishes begin to interfere\, the pink and purple fairytale world of theirs starts to fall apart. \nHow far will they go to keep things as they are? How far will they go to change them? \nThis production is suitable for ages 12 and over. \nTimes – nightly performances at 7.45 pm with matinees at 2.30 pm on the Saturdays \nTickets – £11.50-£20 \nFor info go to the box office.
