SUMMARY:Gypsy - A Musical Fable
DESCRIPTION:Before The X Factor\, Britain’s Got Talent or The Mickey Mouse Club on TV\, there was vaudeville. This is the story of how two little girls followed their mother’s dreams to vaudeville stages all over America to become stars. Baby June could sing\, dance\, turn cartwheels and brighten an auditorium with her smile. Her sister Louise wasn’t as talented\, it was said. But when Louise grew up\, she surprised them all by becoming a glamourous star! \nNo one was surprised more than the girls’ mother\, Rose. And this is her story\, too – a musical fable about the ultimate stage mother. \nThis production is suitable for ages 12 and over. \nBook by Arthur Laurents/ Music by Jule Styne/ Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim/ Suggested by the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee. \nThis amateur production of GYPSY is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. \nNightly performances at 7.45 pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30 pm. \nTickets – £13.00 to £20.00. \nFor info go to Gypsy: A Musical Fable
