SUMMARY:Island - an Oratorio
DESCRIPTION:Performance from 4.00 pm at West Road Concert Hall. \nIn the first half the wonderful Suite in G from Handel’s Water Music will be followed by John Rutter’s The Sprig of Thyme – a glowing collection of English Folk songs for choir and orchestra. \nIsland is the main post-interval work: a narrated story with children’s chorus\, adult chorus\, and soloists. \n2 hours including interval \nPerformers: Accorde Choir/ The Island Orchestra/ KJV Community Choir/ Jeremy Harmer – Narrator/ Andrew Foxley – Conductor \nKJV is a local children’s choir for boys and girls from across Cambridgeshire. We rehearse each Saturday morning.
