SUMMARY:Cambridge Festival of Cycling
DESCRIPTION:Camcycle is delighted to announce the return of the Cambridge Festival of Cycling\, a series of cycle-themed events running throughout the month of September. \nWith social rides\, community stalls and events\, and many other activities\, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved. The festival’s aim is to celebrate the inclusive world of cycling\, which has the potential to help transform the liveability and sustainability of our region. It’s the perfect time to find out more about Camcycle’s work and all aspects of cycling in and around Cambridge. \nThe flagship event of the festival is the Cargo Carnival\, this year hosted in collaboration with the Cambridge University Library. Join the grand cycle parade of pedal-powered cargo on Saturday 21st September and then try out a range of cargo bikes or browse the range of products available from cycle-based traders. \nAlthough you don’t have to be a cyclist yourself to join the fun\, there are plenty of opportunities to get into the saddle. Camcycle is hosting a social ride and picnic to Milton Country Park on Sunday 1st September\, and working with CTC for weekday and evening rides\, along with a ride on Sunday 8th September to Houghton Mill. There are also opportunities to get cycling with Cambridge Bike Party\, Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust\, and Love to Ride. You can also get involved by joining in on the independently organised #CamRideHome on the last Friday of August and September.
