DESCRIPTION:Camcycle is delighted to announce the return of the Cambridge Festival of Cycling\, a series of cycle-themed events running throughout the month of September. \nWith social rides\, community stalls and events\, and many other activities\, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved. The festival’s aim is to celebrate the inclusive world of cycling\, which has the potential to help transform the liveability and sustainability of our region. It’s the perfect time to find out more about Camcycle’s work and all aspects of cycling in and around Cambridge. \nThe flagship event of the festival is the Cargo Carnival\, this year hosted in collaboration with the Cambridge University Library. Join the grand cycle parade of pedal-powered cargo on Saturday 21st September and then try out a range of cargo bikes or browse the range of products available from cycle-based traders. \nAlthough you don’t have to be a cyclist yourself to join the fun\, there are plenty of opportunities to get into the saddle. Camcycle is hosting a social ride and picnic to Milton Country Park on Sunday 1st September\, and working with CTC for weekday and evening rides\, along with a ride on Sunday 8th September to Houghton Mill. There are also opportunities to get cycling with Cambridge Bike Party\, Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust\, and Love to Ride. You can also get involved by joining in on the independently organised #CamRideHome on the last Friday of August and September.

DESCRIPTION:The Histon Beer Festival is open from noon till 11pm each day. For the first time the Saturday will be a full festival day with 6 bands plaything throughout the day. \nThe organisers aim is to provide a quality choice of beers in a relaxed environment for the people of the village and many visitors to enjoy. Alongside the beer\, we have authentic Thai cuisine from Sam’s Thai Kitchen\, pizza served from the pub’s own pizza\, BBQ again by the Red Lion and Scotch Eggs/Sausage Rolls from The Chop Shop. \nAs ever\, the Festival is underpinned by a dedicated committee who work tirelessly throughout the year and continually throughout the week to ensure that everything is served to perfection. People who serve behind the bar volunteer their services to ensure that all proceeds from the Festival are donated to local good causes.

Discover the important work the centre undertakes and how the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre came to be; from the global and national context that prompted women in the city to create the centre to the challenges faced in the present. \nA exhibition in the library of Sidney Sussex College will display the Candia Skull. DESCRIPTION:12.00 – 4.30pm at Leper Chapel\, Cambridge \nRe-enactment of the famous Stourbridge Fair at Cambridge’s oldest building\, the Leper Chapel. This wonderful\, popular event for all the family allows you to step back in time to a medieval age. Witness the traditional way of opening the fair at noon and the costumed dancers. \nAs well as dancing\, there will be singing\, storytelling\, stalls\, crafts and fascinating history talks.
