Local visitors able to visit the Garden as part of their daily recreation and exercise can look forward to enjoying the blossom, new leaves and fresh greens as spring unfolds at Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
Also at the Garden this spring: Spring Bingo –join in a giant game of outdoor bingo – 26th Mar -11th April. To join in the bingo fun, visitors can pick up a free bingo sheet on theirway into the Garden and hunt for different springtime sights before claiming a prize at the end.
International Garden Photographer of the Year –Exhibition Fourteen – 13th March –6th May A stunning exhibition of photographs from around the world, setting it against the beautiful backdrop of the Botanic Garden.This year visitors coming to the Garden will be able to enjoy this wonderful exhibition, located by the Grass Maze.
Visitors can also enjoy the Garden virtually. This spring, take advantage of CUBG’s online resources and find out some of the latest plant science discoveries and issues in the new series of Science on Sundays talks, or expand your knowledge and skills by taking an on-line course in gardening, garden design, garden history, botanical art, creative workshops and plant science, which this season include some weekend and evening courses.
Earth Optimism Cambridge –Film Festival -Conservation ‘Stories of Hope’ Saturday 27th March 2.00 pm. Join CUBG online todiscovera selection of plants growing at the Garden with inspirational back-stories. Starting with a plant aptly named ‘Ray of Hope’, we will take you on a virtual tour around the world to celebrate the plant conservation work being undertaken in far flung places and also closer to home. sounds of the seasons.
