Blood Brothers
Tuesday January 25–Saturday January 29
£11.50 – £14.00Two brothers separated at birth are cursed to die if they ever learn the truth of their bond. Raised on opposite ends of the social spectrum, they are repeatedly, and unwittingly, drawn together. Initially appearing to challenge the social obstacles designed to keep them apart, circumstance and superstition makes their friendship impossible. Tensions spill over when Eddie returns home to find Mickey embroiled in the Toxteth riots, unemployed, depressed, and facing criminal charges.
The truth will out, but the real curse lies in social inequality, a prophecy raising questions about the impossible escape from class warfare, in this production of Willy Russell’s iconic play that spawned the hit musical.
This performance is recommended for audiences aged 12+
