21st Century Women: Drunken Knitwits

The team are joined by Samantha and Emma from the Cambridge Drunken Knitwits, a group that get together in pubs to enjoy knitting and crafting. Louise Wilson chats to Super Mum Jackie Bullen, who runs her own business as well as supporting her daughter who is a member of the paralympic goalball team. Liz Kelly tells us about a group called WASPI – or Women Against State Pension Inequality, who are a campaign group that fights what they believe is the injustice done to women born in the 1950s affected by the changes to the State Pension Law. And Bobby Jones talks to broadcaster and author Cherry Healey about a campaign that encourages kids to do their own thing.

Securing the future of Local Radio

Cambridge 105 Radio is the local broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge 105 Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
