Women Making Waves: Victoria Bateman, Andrea Cockerton and Cathlyn Crawley

Women Making Waves speak to three women who have been either fearlessly tackling taboo subjects, standing up and becoming a protestor extraordinaire or being recognised for her innovative ways. What does it feel like to walk into a room full of people when you are naked? We find out from feminist and economist Dr Victoria Bateman.

Andrea Cockerton founder of We Are Sound has recently been named as one of the 50 New Radicals by Nesta in conjunction with The Observer.

And Cathlyn Crawley has written a book about surviving the early days of parenthood, a period when it’s easy to believe that everyone else is coping better than you are.

Presented by Linda Ness and Suzie Thorpe.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are listening to Cambridge 105 Radio than ever but in a competitive media landscape it’s sometimes difficult to make a noise. And advertising revenues are falling across the sector.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves, who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, whose businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

Please help to support community radio and make our future more secure. You can support Cambridge 105 Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution through Local Giving.

Thank you.
