Now in its second year, the Cambridge Brahms Festival (18th-22nd April 2018) offers five days of excellent music-making around the city, celebrating the life and work of Johannes Brahms and his friends through talks and concerts.
This year’s festival closes with an orchestral concert in Trinity Chapel, featuring Edward Reeve, Naomi Woo and the Cambridge Brahms Festival Orchestra. The theme is ʺBrahms and Variationsʺ: opening with Brahms’ stirring arrangement of Bach’s D minor chaconne, the concert includes the ʺHaydnʺ Variations, Webern’s Passacaglia (a homage to Brahms), and the impassioned Fourth Symphony.
The final concert will take place on Sunday 22nd April at 8.00 pm. For details of tickets for this go to https://www.adcticketing.com/whats-on/concert/the-cambridge-brahms-festival-orchestral-concert/
What’s Ons are broadcast across the day at 7.30, 10.30, 1.30 and 4.30, and at weekends.
