Karen Stringer, the Director of the Russian Ballet School of Cambridge has started a new class for adults and it is especially for those who are over 50! Come along and enjoy a relaxing class and perhaps fulfill a childhood dream of becoming a ballet dancer.
Karen is a specialist in the training of adults and has many adult pupils who have taken exams in the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) and many also take part in the school’s performances. She knows from experience that it is never too late for people to learn new skills.
The class will be on Fridays from 10.30 to 11.30 at the Salvation Army Community Centre at 104 Mill Road (upstairs hall). The Centre also runs a cafe downstairs and has a Friday coffee morning with bacon rolls, cakes, tea and coffee on Fridays, so dancers may wish to go downstairs after class for drink and a cake.
Details of the uniform required are on the school’s site at www.therussianballetschool.co.uk but if you wish to try one class first before buying the uniform you can wear leggings, a t-shirt and thick socks.
Price – £8.00 per class.
