Wander around Wandlebury and try your hand at the variety of activities on offer at this popular fun-filled family history and archaeology day.
Have a go at traditional crafts and hands-on activities for children including face painting, making rope and using natural stains with the Cambridge Young Archaeologists, weaving or basket making techniques, cooking over an open fire and making chainmail.
Listen to stories from the Cambridge Storytellers, test yourself at archery, use a slingshot, make your own stick bow and arrow to take home, and check out beekeeping with the Cambridge Beekeepers. Be sure not to miss out on the presentations by local archaeologists too – with fascinating talks on Iron Age hillforts, landscape archaeology and metal detecting, as well as guided tours of the hillfort and
