In 1977, David Frost offered Richard Nixon over half a million dollars for the first exclusive interviews after his resignation as president. Both men had everything to gain – Nixon could refashion himself as a good man, Frost could boost his career – and even more to lose if they failed to come out on top.
Frost/Nixon tells the behind-the-scenes story of the pair and their teams, as well as depicting segments from the high-intensity interviews that were watched by millions. This first play by acclaimed writer of The Queen and The Crown, Peter Morgan, was adapted into an Oscar-nominated film in 2008, and is even more relevant than ever today, in a world where the line between truth and fiction is so often blurred, and where presidential legality is so often called into question.
