A radical exploration of the AIDS crisis in New York, queer relationships, religion, and what happens when Heaven isn’t happy with Earth, Angels in America follows recently diagnosed AIDS victim Prior Walter and the impact his diagnosis has on his romantic relationships.
It also follows Harper and Joe, a Mormon couple, who wrangle with Joe’s identity as a secretly gay man. Over the course of its three acts, Angels in America tears down barriers between love and hate, life and death, and supernatural and natural.
